7mononoke’s questions:

1. What is your favourite colour and is there any particular reason why?

Hot pink. It’s been my favourite colour since I was little. I don’t really know the reason why I’ve always like this colour but now, it has become the colour I like to own but never wear. My go to colour for clothes and shoes is navy blue.

2. Do you have a favourite kind of wild plant, tree, or flower?

Bluebells. I find them to be really beautiful.

3. Have you taken a Myers-Briggs test before, and if so what type are you?

This one had me searching through my emails because I remember having done it. I’m supposedly INFJ-A.

4. What is one of your fondest or most memorable childhood memories?

Oh wow I don’t really know. I guess if I had to pick one, it would be the time I was gifted a pink heart cushion after my older sister took my square heart cushion. I still have my cushion and can’t sleep without it.

5. What is a scent that you like? It could be a food-related scent, anything floral, or something like the smell of cut grass, pencils, or books.

Vanilla. I love the smell of vanilla.

6. What is your current favourite anime or your current favourite book?

Current favourite anime would be Kimetsu no Yaiba. It’s been fantastic so far. And book would be The Night Stalker which will feature in this week’s “Weekly Reads” since I just finished reading it.

7. Do you like adventure outdoors, like occasional camping or light hiking?

I went hiking once and I quite enjoyed it though I don’t see myself going camping ever. I guess it depends on the activity for me.

8. Do you have a psych or a developmental disorder, and has it affected your life? (No need to reveal what it is unless you’re comfortable.)

Fortunately, I’ve never been diagnosed with anything.

9. What kind of insect or arachnid scares you or annoys you the most?

I’m not scared of insects and the likes. Usually, I’m the one that gets called to get rid of them since my sisters are terrified of them.

10. What is your favourite OST from an anime or other TV series?

That’s a difficult one. Right now, it would be Bungo Stray Dogs.

11. What are you most grateful for? You can mention several if needed.

Is it okay if I just say everything? Because honestly, I don’t think there’s anything that I’m ungrateful for.

Tcrow’s questions:

1. What part of blogging do you find the most challenging?

Finding the time to write posts during uni. That was tough especially during assignment and exam season.

2. What tools do you use to help you write your blog posts, besides the blogging platform itself? For example, do you have a favourite tool for screen captures?

Word. I actually write all my posts on word and them copy them onto WP. I have all of posts saved in their necessary filed on my onedrive so they are all backed up.

3. Do you prefer to write episodic reviews or other features and why?

That’s what I was thinking recently. I think I like a mixture. I really enjoy writing posts for Music Box because it allows me to do a brief analysis of lyrics which I find fun but I also like doing episodic reviews. I aim to get back into doing them because they allow me to sort out my thoughts about a given episode in a nice way.

4. When you watch an anime series, is it easier for you to forgive bad plotting or bad characters and why?

I can forgive bad characters if the animation and plot are good because I can still enjoy the story but I can’t forgive a bad plot because it’s a waste of time watching something I can’t enjoy at all.

5. If you could bring one piece of an anime series — a magic spell, a piece of equipment, a technology, or something like that — to our world and use it, what would it be?

Oh wow there’s so much to choose from! I guess I’d go with alchemy. It would be pretty cool to be able to use alchemy.

6. If you use one of the anime database sites (Anime PlanetAniListMyAnimeList, or some other), which is your favourite and what do you like about it?

I’ve only ever used MAL not because it’s good but it was what I was introduced to when I first started watching anime and never switched. Even when I lost my first account, I made my second one on MAL. I don’t really like it, but it does the job of keeping track of what anime I’ve watched.

7. What series in Summer 2019 (or in the next season if you get to this later) are you most looking forward to? Multiple answers are fine if you have a tie!

I’m looking forward to Vinland Saga the most. Hopefully it’ll be a good adaptation since I’ve heard so many good things about the manga.

8. What’s your favourite non-human anime character?

Hands down Nyanko sensei!

Nyanko sensei

9. What anime series would you like to see get more recognition?

That’s a difficult one because I’m not a good judge as to what already has a lot of recognition and what doesn’t. That being said, I’ll go with Mushishi. It’s a great anime!

Mushishi cover

10. Do you have a post, or a topic, that you’ve tried to write many times, but couldn’t? What was it about and what stopped you from finishing?

I don’t think so. As of right now, there’s not a post that I’ve wanted to post that I haven’t.

11. Have you ever not posted something because you thought it might be too controversial? Did you change your post, cancel the post, or just let it fly?

Nope. I feel like my posts are pretty neutral in that regard.

That’s all the questions done! Thanks guys for nominating me! 🙂

  1. Hello everyone,

I do not have an anime blog which I visit frequently.
If there is something I can do, I will answer the questions on this page to review my anime love and improve my writing skills. Thanks for the questions.

    7mononoke-san’s questions (1-11):

    1. What is your favourite colour and is there any particular reason why?

White. It is always a cute color for undergarments which cute anime girls wear.

    2. Do you have a favourite kind of wild plant, tree, or flower?

    Water lily.

    3. Have you taken a Myers-Briggs test before, and if so what type are you?

    Never.

    4. What is one of your fondest or most memorable childhood memories?

I am not sure if I actually had fond or memorable childhood memories. I cannot recall one.

    5. What is a scent that you like? It could be a food-related scent, anything floral, or something like the smell of cut grass, pencils, or books.

I sometimes feel the smell of cooking food while I work on my computer. It is good.

    6. What is your current favourite anime or your current favourite book?

I am an anime watcher and I have a great many current favorite anime because I visit them regularly. I will list 3 of them: One Punch Man Season 2, Isekai Quartet, Hitoribocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu.
I have not read a book for years but I liked the first episode of Yotsuba manga.

    7. Do you like adventure outdoors, like occasional camping or light hiking?

No, I prefer to be at home. I wish to go outside though, but I need to get my anime work done first and I have a long way to go.

    8. Do you have a psych or a developmental disorder, and has it affected your life? (No need to reveal what it is unless you’re comfortable.)

    9. What kind of insect or arachnid scares you or annoys you the most?

A flying insect might scare me in my garden if it is close to me. Mostly it is a bee.

    10. What is your favourite OST from an anime or other TV series?

Let’s see… Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka?

    11. What are you most grateful for? You can mention several if needed.

    Everything of my anime memories.
    My personal anime collections.
The fact my existence is born to witness a growing beautiful anime industry.

    Tcrow’s questions (12-22):

    12. What part of blogging do you find the most challenging?

I am not writing a blog but an anime journal. I have no plans to seek financial gain or traffic, I am very relaxed and have no big challenges.
I need to mention writing maintenance. Writing for some time has changed me dramatically and I found that some of my old writing no longer sounded good or made sense—a rewrite will be needed.

    13. What tools do you use to help you write your blog posts, besides the blogging platform itself? For example, do you have a favourite tool for screen captures?

Notepad is used most of the time. I just need to press PrintScreen key to capture a screen, no third-party tools required.

    14. Do you prefer to write episodic reviews or other features and why?

I used to write little anime episodic reviews in the past. I am not doing it now because I have anime things to do which take priority.

    15. When you watch an anime series, is it easier for you to forgive bad plotting or bad characters and why?

I do not care much about anime plots. If an anime has potential, I simply imagine my ideal version of it with my own plots without bad anime characters.
Which means that I am laid-back and it explains that watching anime is extremely enjoyable for me. I also love stimulating my creativity to boot.

    16. If you could bring one piece of an anime series — a magic spell, a piece of equipment, a technology, or something like that — to our world and use it, what would it be?

The technology to create potions in the game Potion Maker.

    17. If you use one of the anime database sites (Anime Planet, AniList, MyAnimeList, or some other), which is your favourite and what do you like about it?

    Livechart.
For example, I want to know when a certain anime series will be aired. I like its beautiful design.

    18. What series in Summer 2019 (or in the next season if you get to this later) are you most looking forward to? Multiple answers are fine if you have a tie!

I currently have no knowledge about what anime to be aired in Summer 2019, but I will use Livechart.
Usually good-looking covers tell me that anime series may be promising, so Granbelm, Machikado Mazoku, Re:Stage! Dream Days♪, Senki Zesshou Symphogear XV.

    19. What’s your favourite non-human anime character?

Miton-san in Mahou Shoujo Nante Mou Ii Desu kara.

    20. What anime series would you like to see get more recognition?

I am a good judge and I often promote anime series in my writing. One of them is Kuma Miko.

    21. Do you have a post, or a topic, that you’ve tried to write many times, but couldn’t? What was it about and what stopped you from finishing?

I have not had anything so far which I attempted to write many times to never get a successful result.
The first drafts are usually not ideal or perfect, I will come back to improve them when I have an opportunity.

    22. Have you ever not posted something because you thought it might be too controversial? Did you change your post, cancel the post, or just let it fly?

Yes, I have done it many times. Each time I gain significant development, I improve my ability to detect my old anime posts which are too controversial. When I see a problematic post, I either edit it or delete it.

    Keiko-san’s questions (23-33):

    23. What was the worst anime you’ve watched?

I love anime so much. Answering it is out of the question.

    24. What’s your favourite post that you’ve written?

A post about my experience of editing anime gifs.

    25. Is there an anime that you’ve wanted to watch but haven’t gotten round to?

    Endoro!, Circlet Princess

I will try to make time to watch remaining episodes when possible.

    26. Do you follow a strict blogging schedule?

No. As long as I appear to write regularly, it is good.

    27. Do you prefer to watch anime as it airs or binge watch it after it’s finished?

I watch anime as they air. I am watching currently airing anime consistently if they are easy to digest, like Shingeki no Kyojin Season 3 Part 2.

    28. If you could keep an animal from anime/tv/book/manga as a pet, who would you choose and why?

A bird from Juuou Mujin no Fafnir OP.

    29. Are you a cat or a dog person?

The question does not make sense.

    30. Do you prefer sweet, sour or spicy food?

    Sweet food always.

    31. What’s an anime/tv/book/manga you can watch/read multiple times without getting bored of it?

A plethora of hand-picked anime series fulfill my anime daily experience. The more I watch them again and again, the better I can appreciate and promote them.

    32. What do you love most about blogging?

I am not blogging. Speaking of my anime journal, I treasure my hard-earned experience of exploring Japan’s cute culture all by myself.

    33. What’s your go to dessert?

A parfait with chocolate on top of it.

    • I realize that I was holding back my thoughts.
I am a strong individual as an anime lover. I am highly satisfied in life and I can be incredibly renowned in the future.

I enjoy working on my anime projects and things are going smoothly. On that note, I am doing my absolute best to make a world-class miracle happen for anime lovers to see!

  2. Thanks for answering the questions– and wow, both sets of questions at that! I’m ridiculously happy you chose Bluebells for favorite plant. I think they’re my favorite wildflower. They grow in my State, I just have to go up to the mountains if I want to see them. And it’s been at least 2 years since I have… I should do that next spring. Anyway, thanks for giving some sunshine to all of us!

  3. damn it, cakes. thank you for tagging me. hahaha
and i did not peg you for someone that likes pink, given your attraction to black.
and I think i’m INFP or something, basically just a massive introvert.
I also write on word first. given the length of my posts, I usually stop writing, procrrastinate then continue so the ctrl +s helps a lot. haha

congrats on being a ray of sunshine, cakes.

    • I had to lol and anytime!
Haha a lot of people say that but I love pink :’)
      High five on that one!

Haha thanks lol and right back at you! 😊

  4. Wow! You answered both sets of 11 questions. That’s impressive!

“Is it okay if I just say everything? Because honestly, I don’t think there’s anything that I’m ungrateful for.”

That might be the healthiest sentence I’ve ever read.

“Oh wow there’s so much to choose from! I guess I’d go with alchemy.”

Just please don’t try to bring back anyone from the dead! That never ends well…

“I don’t really like it, but it does the job of keeping track of what anime I’ve watched.”

That’s kind of where I am with it right now. It seems to be getting worse, though. I tried to enter the English titles for Midnight occult civil servants when it first aired, and they still haven’t approved the edit.

“I’m looking forward to Vinland Saga the most.”

I’m seeing more and more reviewers saying that! It looks really interesting. I’m going to have to check it out.

    Thanks for sharing your answers!

    • Thanks! :’) It was fun answering all the questions! 😊

Awh thank you! I try to take a positive outlook on life these days. :’)

Oh yeah taboos are taboos for a reason afterall.

I had the same problem with some other anime. Sometimes it doesn’t recognise the English name and that’s quite frustrating.

Same here! The trailer to it looks really good and I’ve heard so many good things about the manga. I just hope the anime does it justice. Definitely worth checking out!

Anytime and thank you for the questions! 😊
